Huawei CEO States Company Is not Conspiring With Chinese Government

After not speaking towards the media for twenty five years, founder and Boss of Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Huawei Ren Zhengfei told reporters Thursday it's not dealing with china government to spy around the U . s . States.

Huawei continues to be under fire since a 2012 report to the U.S. House Intelligence Committee accused it together with ZTE to be a national security risk for supplying details about the U . s . States towards the Chinese government. The report stated the businesses didn't adhere to an analysis of its practices.

Zhengfei has refused individuals' claims, based on Reuters: "Huawei doesn't have links with the cybersecurity issues the U.S. has experienced previous, current and future."

"Huawei devices are almost non-existent in systems presently running within the U.S. We've never offered any key equipment to major U.S. service providers, nor are we offered any equipment to the U.S. government agency," he added.

This news may come as Huawei left the U.S. market in April, stating "geopolitical reasons."

“Huawei and ZTE aim to expand within the U . s . States, but consequently in our analysis, we don't possess the confidence these two companies using their ties towards the Chinese government could be reliable with infrastructure of these critical importance,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) stated.
